The newly constructed EM/MCLA Quarters in Kokrajhar were officially inaugurated today (28/02/2025) by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, coinciding with the Bodo community’s special occasion of Gwthar Bathou San.
During the inauguration, Honorable Cabinet Minister Shri Urkhao Gwra Brahma, Deputy CEM Shri Gobinda Chandra Basumatary, EMs, MCLAs, and senior officials from the BTC were present, marking a milestone in the development journey of the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR).
The new EM/MCLA Quarters are located in Harinaguri, Kokrajhar, near Baokhungri Hill.
