The Upendra Nath Brahma Soldier of Humanity Award: The Late Upendra Nath Brahma, also popularly known as the Father of Bodoland, is the former president of ABSU. He started the Bodoland movement for the upliftment and rights of the Bodo tribal people in Assam. After his death, the All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) started the Upendra Nath Brahma Trust (UNBT).
In his memory, UNB Trust has initiated the “Upendra Nath Brahma Soldier of Humanity Award” in memory of the contributions to the Bodo community made by Bodofa Upendra Nath Brahma. Upendra Nath Brahma Soldier of Humanity Award is the highest award presentation among the Bodo community.

Bodofa Upendra Nath Brahma Award
The Bodofa Upendra Nath Brahma Soldier of Humanity Award has been awarded annually by the UNB Trust, Kokrajhar. This award is presented from the Bodos in the name of Bodofa Upendra Nath Brahma, former president of the All Bodo Students Union (ABSU). He is also the Father of Bodo. The UNB Trust is awarded to those personalities who contribute significantly to change in socio-economic, politics, literature, culture, and education.
The achiever of this honor is determined by individual work and contribution, which has brought significant changes in a society or societies in their lifetime. The award carries the thought and message of ‘Bodofa’ Upendra Nath Brahma to the people of the world who have been struggling to survive in the new civilization.
