Tamulpur Medical College and Hospital is currently under construction in the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) under the leadership of Chief Executive Member Pramod Boro as part of the BTR Accord implementation.
This initiative by the BTR Government aims to improve healthcare services and the medical education sector in the region. The medical college will accommodate 430 beds and is expected to enhance access to medical services for local residents.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah laid the foundation stone for the project on 25 July 2021 during his two-day visit to Assam and Meghalaya. CEM Pramod Boro and other officials attended the ceremony.
