Rupnath Brahma
Rupnath Brahma was the first Bodo to clear a Bachelor of Law degree, the first advocate, the first Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA), and the first Minister in the Assam Government, where he also had the longest tenure as a minister. He was born on 15 June 1902, in Owabari village, Kokrajhar district, and passed away on 23 January 1968.
