Ekalavya Model Residential Schools Assam: EMRS is a free residential schools in India, lead by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India. It was established to provide quality middle and high school education to students from Scheduled Tribes (ST) in remote areas.
And also for providing an opportunity for quality education, passing over the gap in educational standards between the tribal and non-tribal students.
Till date there are total number of 14 EMRS schools in Assam, 17 number of new upcoming Ekalavya Model Residential Schools will be established in Assam by the year of 2024-25.
