BTR Government Mission and Schemes: The Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) government has implemented numerous missions & schemes to ensure the welfare of the people residing in BTR.
These BTR schemes were launched to enhance infrastructure, uplift marginalized communities, promote economic growth in the BTR. In this article, we will only discuss about the new schemes introduced by the Govt of BTR.
During the BTR Budget 2024-25 session held on 18 and 19 June at the BTCLA House in Bodofa Nwgwr, Kokrajhar, officials from the BTR region discussed the progress of each mission. Here are some of the new mission and schemes by the Govt of BTR aimed at enhancing the well-being of the local population.

1. Fin Rwdwmkhang
Fin Rwdwmkhang Mission is a flagship program aimed at ensuring the successful rehabilitation and livelihood integration of ex-NDFB cadres into society.
According to the information shared by BTR CEM Pramod Boro on his Facebook page on 5 May 2024, around 1,422 ex NDFB cadres were given membership as shareholders in different cooperative.
2. Mission Bwiswmuthi
Mission Bwswmuthi is a web portal to deliver online land-related services to the citizens of Bodoland Territorial Region.
According to the information shared by BTR CEM Pramod Boro on his Facebook page on 4 May 2024, 13 land related services were made online, around 26,723 land related cases were resolved on the spot in BTR Land Melas, 14,446 Land Certificates were distributed, and approximately 1,06,000 land pata were distributed under the Forest Rights Act 2006.
BTR Budget 2024-25 Highlights:
- BTR became the first Sixth Schedule Council to digitize land record and facilitate online settlement of land-related issues under Mission Bwiswmuthi.
- Over 43000 land-related cases received, 28000 cases already disposed under Mission Bwiswmuthi.
3. Alari Swrang Bithangki
Alari Swrang Bithangki is a scheme that gives financial aid to the religious institutions from the BTR region.
According to the information shared by BTR CEM Pramod Boro on his Facebook page on 1 May 2024, a total of 695 places of worship belonging to all communities from BTR region have been granted 2 lakhs each.

- 695 places of worship of all communities empowerd with Rs. 2 lakh each under ‘Alari Swrang Bithanki’.
4. Bodoland Pig Mission
Bodoland Pig mission provides skill enhancement training, technology support, piglets, insurance cover and modern breeding facilities to the pig farmers from the BTR region.
According to the information shared by BTR CEM Pramod Boro on his Facebook page on April 10, 2024, around 5000 pig rearers have been trained in Scientific Pig Rearing, 100 pig farmers were trained for specialist breeder & demonstration farms, 1000 ‘Save the Pigs’ Biosecurity Kits were distributed, and 94 pig farmers were given Financial Support.
5. Mainao Swrang Bithangkhi
Mainao Swrang Bithangki is the scheme that aims at strengthening women’s power in the BTR region.
According to the information shared by BTR CEM Pramod Boro on his Facebook page on 5 April 2024, around 24.21 crores in grants have been given out to 96,850 women beneficiaries.
BTR Budget 2024-25 Highlights:
- 9,685 Self-Help Groups (SHGs), i.e. 96,850 women, were supported with a total of Rs. 24.2 crores under Mainao Swrang Bithangki.
6. Onsai Bithangki
BTR Budget 2024-25 Highlights:
- 27,600 very poor families were supported with a financial assistance of Rs. 5000 each under Onsai Bithangki.
7. Gyan Swrang Onsungthai Bithangkhi
BTR Budget 2024-25 Highlights:
- 21,761 needy students supported with a total of Rs. 12.97 crores under Gyan Swrang Onsunthai Bithangki.
8. Bodoland Science Mission
BTR Budget 2024-25 Highlights:
- Established to promote Science Education & Reserch in/from BTR
- 31,000 students from 245 Govt schools of BTR being taught Maths and Science through experiential learning provided by Agastya International Foundation under Bodoland Science Mission.
9. Bodofa UN Brahma Super 50 Mission
BTR Budget 2024-25 Highlights:
- 382 youth from poor families benefitted from govt-sponsored cutting edge coaching in top institutes under Bodofa UN Brahma ‘Super 50 Mission’, 74 uouth cracked APSC Exams in past 2 years.
