FREE Diploma Course in Hospitality Industry 2024-25 Notification
The Director cum CHD of the Tourism Department in Kokrajhar has issued an official notice inviting unemployed youth from the BTR region to apply for residential diploma courses at the Food Craft Institute in Samaguri, Nagaon, Assam.
The diploma course in the hospitality industry is sponsored and specifically open to economically weaker youth in the Bodoland Territorial Region. The application process will begin on 20 June 2024, and the deadline for submission is 5 July 2024. The classes are scheduled to commence on 5 August 2024.

Free Diploma Course in Hospitality Industry Details
The Free Diploma Course in Hospitality Industry program will run for 1 year and 6 months, offering training in the following 4 areas:
- Food Production
- Front Office
- Food & Beverage Services
- Bakery & Confectionery
A total of 20 students (5 per course) will be selected for residential diploma courses at the Food Craft Institute Samaguri in Nagaon District of Assam. The institute is affiliated with the National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology, New Delhi, under the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India.
BTR Govt Sponsored Diploma Course in Hospitality Industry Benefits
The Tourism Department of the BTR Government will cover admission, course, uniform, caution, examination, enrollment, and internal exam fees. However, personal expenses are the students’ responsibility.
This fully funded training program by the BTR Government’s Tourism Department includes opportunities for industrial training at top hotels nationwide, facilitated through the Food Craft Institute, Samaguri.
Free Diploma Course in Hospitality Industry Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a Resident of Bodoland Territorial Region
- Minimum age limit is 18 years
- Minimum Education Qualification is 10+2 from any stream
Free Diploma Course in Hospitality Industry Selection Process
Candidates will be selected through an Interview at the Director cum CHD Office, Tourism Department, Kokrajhar. The Document Scrutiny is scheduled for 5 July 2024, followed by the Oral Interview on 9 July 2024.
Training:
During the 18-month course, candidates will be mandated to undergo a 6-month industrial training at 5-star hotels across India such as Taj, Oberoi, Leela, and Holiday Inn. The institute will assist in arranging these placements.
Bond Sign:
After selection, the candidates are required to sign a bond stating that they shall not discontinue the course.
