The Government of Assam has announced an new scheme for the people of Assam of all categories name as CM Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan where the eager micro-entrepreneurs can get upto Rs.2 lakh financial assistance.
The purpose of the scheme is to encourage and provide self employment to all categories of educated youth through suitable mechanism in Assam. CM Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan is also known as Mukhyamantri Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan.
The Chief Minister Assam has twitted that ” For those who cannot clear ADRE, we have another opportunity. Government of Assam has come out with a scheme, CM Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan, wherein aspiring micro-entrepreneurs can get upto ₹2 lakh financial assistance.”

What is CM Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan 2.0 Scheme?
The scheme CM Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan is launchd by the government of Assam under the Chief Minister Dr. Himanata Biswa Sarma to provide financial assistance of Rs.2Lakh to all the educated youths of Assam and enterprising individuals and groups and also to give a rise to employment in rural and urban areas through setting up new or existing projects or ventures.

Objectives of Mukhyamantri Atmanirbhar Assam Abhijan 2.0
- Provide self employment to all categories of educated youth through suitable mechanism.
- Create entrepreneur-oriented ecosystem in the state of Assam.
- Generate employment opportunities in rural and urban areas through setting up of new/existing ventures.
- Provide financial assistance to enterprising individuals and groups to undertake new/existing economic activities.
- Strengthen the State Government’s special focus on rural economy.
Atmanirbhar Assam Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant should be permanent resident of Assam and should be above 28 years and below 45 years as on 1st April, 2024 (upper age limit is relaxed to 48 years for SC/ST/OBC category).
- The applicant should possess the minimum educational qualification as indicated below -Class X pass for General caste and upto Class X for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC
- The applicant should possess skills, experiences, knowledge to undertake the income generating activities.
- The applicant should have a Scheduled commercial bank account, which has been opened before 1st April 2024.
- The applicant should not have defaulted any loan taken from any scheduled commercial Bank in the past.
- Not more than one member from any household shall be eligible to be a beneficiary under this scheme.
- The applicant must have valid registration in the Employment Exchange.
- The applicant must not be a beneficiary of CMAAA 1.0

- Any of the following Identity/address Proof – Aadhaar /voter Id/Passport/Driving license.
- Proof of Educational Qualification.
- First page of active Bank account Passbook (Name in the bank passbook should be the same as the ID card submitted).
- PAN Card.
- Employment Exchange Registration Card.
