The Directorate of Sports & Youth Welfare, Assam, is going to award Sports Pension to eligible athletes who are permanent residents of Assam.
Under this scheme, regular pensioners will receive between Rs. 8,000 to Rs. 10,000 per month, while a one-time financial assistance of Rs. 50,000 will also be provided.
Assam Sports Pension 2024 Notification
The advertisement states that athletes who have secured medals in the Olympic Games/Asian Games/Commonwealth Games/World Championships (Olympic recognized sports disciplines)/National Games are eligible to apply.
Applicants must submit their application forms to the Directorate through District Sports Officers within 10 days from the publication date of this advertisement.
Those sportsperson who applied or were selected for the sports pension scheme in the years 2021-22, 2022-23, or 2023-24 should not apply again.

How to apply?
To apply for Assam Sports Pension 2024, eligible sportsperson will have to collect the application form from their District Sports Office and submit it along with all required documents by 04/07/2024.
