The recent Assam Cabinet Meeting, led by Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on 4th September 2024, announced several important decisions to improve various areas in state. These include increasing insurance of Sate Govt Employees, Bonus for Assam Tea Corporation Ltd employees and workers, Enlarge Power subsidy to APDCL, Set Assam’s third Taj Hotel, Shape the state’s industrial policy.
Assam Cabinet Meeting 4 Sept, 2024 Decision
1. Introduced a new insurance policy that will offer up to Rs.1cr coverage for State Govt Employees
2. Offer 20% bonus or the Assam Tea Corporation Ltd employees and workers .
3. Extend Rs.200cr power subsidy to APDCL for the benefit of economically weaker consumers.
4. Amend the State’s Startup and Industrial Policy.
5. Operationalisation of Sub-districts.
6. Establish Assam’s third Taj Hotel in Jagiroad.
