Assam Cabinet Meeting 19 Nov 2024: In the recent Assam Cabinet meeting led by Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, several important decisions were made. These include- Renaming of Karimganj district as Sribhumi, Attracting Investment to Assam, Bringing Parity in Electoral Rolls, Approval to the Assam Agroforestry Policy, Amendment to state GST Act, Boosting rural development, Appoint ASSAC as State Nodal Agency for Remote Sensing and Amend the Assam Unified Building Bye-laws.

1. Renaming Karimganj district as Sribhumi.
2. Assam cabinet has approved holding o the Assam investment and ifrastucture submit 2025.
3. Assam Cabinet has approved Amendment of rule 12 of assam Panchyat rules 1995.
4. Approval to the Assam Agroforestry Policy, 2024.
5. Cabinet has approved the Assam goods and services tax ordinance, 2024.
6. Boosting Rural Development.
7. Appoint ASSAC as State Nodal Agency for Remote Sensing
8. Cabinet has approved the amendment of the Assam unified building construction byelaws, 2022.
