Assam Cabinet Meeting 1 January 2025: The first Assam Cabinet meeting of 2025 was convened on January 1 under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma. Several significant decisions were made during the meeting, including:
- Approval to Swagata Satirtha Mutual Transfer Portal for Grade III & IV employees
- Boosting Rural Connectivity & Rural Development- Improving the infrastructure, economic opportunities, and overall quality of life in rural areas.
- Ensuring Har Ghar Jal- To provide access to safe and adequate drinking water through functional household tap connections to every rural household.
- Approval of Assam Registration of Births & Deaths (Amendment) Rules 2024
Assam Cabinet Meeting 1 January 2025
The following are the key Cabinet decisions highlighted in the recent meeting
1. The Cabinet has accorded approval to the process of mutual transfer through Swagata Satirtha Transfer Portal for Grade III & IV employees.
2. The Cabinet has approved 104 projects to boost Rural Connectivity & Rural Infrastructure, benefiting people of 12 districts of the state.
3. The Cabinet has approved Rs.207.92cr for water supply projects in four towns- Sivsagar, Dibrugarh, Tezpur and North Lakhimpur.
4. The Cabinet has approved the Assam Registration of Births & Deaths (Amendment) Rules 2024.
