On 7 December 2024, a significant cabinet reshuffle occurred in Assam, resulting in the induction of four new ministers. In the same move, Sanjoy Kishan, the Labour and Tea Tribes Welfare Minister, was dropped from the cabinet.
Subsequently, on 9 December 2024, portfolios were allotted to the newly inducted ministers, while changes were also made to the portfolios of several existing ministers to streamline governance and ensure optimal performance across departments.
