Ankushita’s Personal Life
Early Life: Ankushita Boro was born on 6 October 2000, in Meghai Jarani village, Sonitpur district, Assam, India. Her parents are Rakesh Kumar, a primary school teacher on probation, and Ranjita, who works at an NGO.
Education: She attended Dakshin Junior College in Guwahati as of November 2017.
Marriage: At the age of 20, Ankushita married her longtime coach, Trideep Borah, on 22 April 2021, at Thelamara in Tezpur.
Ankushita Boxing Career
Ankushita’s boxing journey took an unexpected turn at the age of 12 when a friend persuaded her to enter a local tournament. She was determined and traveled 165 kilometers for trials at the Sports Authority of India (SAI) center in Golaghat.
Following her selection after the trials at the SAI Centre Golaghat, Ankushita was trained under coach Trideep Bora. As she progressed, she had the opportunity to further refine her skills with the assistance of Italian coach Raffael Bergamasco.
Ankushita Boro Achievements

Ankushita was appointed as the Brand Ambassador of the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao scheme for the Kamrup Metropolitan District in Assam on International Women’s Day, March 8, 2018.
